On June 26th, 1995, President Clinton, United Nations' Secretary, General Boutros-Ghali and United Nations Ambassadors from as many as one hundred and eighty member nations will assemble to reaffirm the principles of the UN Charter in order to meet the global challenges of the 21st century. It was fifty years ago that delegates from around the world convened in San Francisco to sign the Charter of the United Nations which heralded the birth of a universal international organization created to maintain peace, human welfare and social progress.
